I’m pretty sure that not committing adultery and not coveting anything pretty much covers rape. Someone doesn’t have to flat out list everything ever that you cannot do. You are not a child… and can put things together yes? If you don’t covet things or people that are not yours you will not end up raping someone. Also… I think rape could also go under stealing… you lose a lot if you get raped.

The “not saying his name in vain” is the same concept you use for anyone you respect. Don’t talk badly about them. If you believe that God is your creator and the reason that you are living, then it makes sense to me that you would treat his name with respect. As some mothers say “I brought you into this world, I can take you out of it!

Yeah, “Thou shalt not commit adultery” more than covers that, but you could also use the commandment right after it… “Thou shalt not steal” for back up.

I think it’s one of those jokes where he knows (or has an idea that) he’s wrong, but it’s still a funny line to deliver.
